PUBLIC NOTICE

 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF C2173 AQUEDUCT LANE, BARNT GREEN, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

Reason for restriction: Burst water main.  There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

 

1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with C2161 Sandhills Green to its junction with B4120 Bittell Road.

 

2. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days, however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 5 days (24 hrs) commencing 30 June 2023.

 

3. Alternative routes: – B4120 Bittell Road, C2291 Birmingham Road, C2291 Red Lion Street, C2291 The Square, C2001 Bear Hill, C2001 Station Road, C2001 Scarfield Hill, C2173 Wheely Road, C2173 Coopers Hill, C2161 Sandhills Green and vice versa.

 

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(U22203/U22204 Pumphouse Lane, Bentley Pauncefoot) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Order made: to close that part of U22203/U22204 Pumphouse Lane from its junction with U22205 Bentley Lane to its junction with C2060 Church Road.

Reason: Carriageway patching by WCC.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U22205 Bentley Lane, C2079 Sillins Lane, C2060 Green Lane, C2060 Church Lane, and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 months.  Anticipated duration: 14 days.  Commencing: 1 June 2023
