(U23221 Sandhills Lane, Barnt Green) (Temporary Closure) Order 2019
Proposed Order: to close that part of U23221 Sandhills Lane from its junction with C2174 Hewell Road to its junction with C2161 Sandhills Road
Reason: New / Replacement Water Main
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2174 Hewell Road, C2161 Sandhills Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 2 December 2019

- They have carried out vital improvement work in Barnt Green.
- The final connection still needs completion at the junction of Sandhills Lane
- Work is planned to start from 18 November 2019 and will take five days to complete.

As part of a recent drive to protect our community, we have joined forces with West Mercia Police ‘We Don’t Buy Crime’ Team to provide a SmartWater kit for each home within our parish.
SmartWater is a sophisticated security system that protects property, deters thieves and helps the police to convict criminals that can be directly applied to valuables.
SmartWater contains a unique forensic code that is registered to an address or location. Anything marked can be traced back to where it came from, allowing the police to identify stolen property and link criminals to crime scenes.
SmartWater is invisible in natural light but glows brightly under ultraviolet (UV) light.

Please pop in to Barnt Green Parish Council Office, on Monday 1pm – 3pm and Tuesday – Wednesday 11am – 2pm to register for your free kit

ESSENTIAL TREEWORKS MILLENNIUM PARK – THURSDAY 22 AUGUST 2019
Essential maintenance is being carried out on the large oak tree in Millennium Park on Thursday 22 August to remove deadwood throughout the canopy.
It is anticipated that work will commence at 8am until approximately midday.
The park will be cordoned off and out of use to the public during this period.
