ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF C2173 AQUEDUCT LANE, ALVECHURCH, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

Reason for restriction: Burst water main.  There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

 

  1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U23254 Aqueduct Lane Service Road to its junction with B4120 Bittel Road.

 

  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days, however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 3 days (24hrs) commencing 11 August 2026.

 

  1. Alternative routes: – B4120 Bittel Road, B4120 Hewell Road, C2161 Sandhills Road, C2161 Sandhills Green and vice versa.

 

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
