Road closure at junction Fiery Hill Road / Kendal End Road

The county councillor Peter McDonald has provided the following information –

The sections of roads to be closed are:

  1. For a distance of 170m SW from Jcn with B4120 Kendal End Road
  2. For a distance of 100m NW from Jcn C2151 Fiery Hill Road
  3. Jcn with C2151 Fiery Hill Road to Jcn with B4120 Bittell Road

There will be no vehicular access through the road closure as the road will be being fully excavated.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The reason for the road closure is stated as follows:

“WestPoint have to undertake surfacing remedials at the above location due to HRA material failure. It will require planning / resurfacing in various areas however the main areas are Fiery Hill Road (opposite new development access approx. 50m from junction with Kendal End Road) & the mini roundabout at junctions of B4120 Bittel road / Hewell Road. As HRA with chippings and existing road width they need a temporary closure probably over 2 days”
